Beauty Store: Credo
BEAUTY STORE: CREDO
Written by Dawn Brocco, Contributing Beauty Editor, Jejune Magazine
New York has a lot of places to buy makeup and skincare but my favorite beauty store is Credo. There is a location in Soho and one in Williamsburg. They carry a variety of brands that 'use safe, sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients to create products that do what they are supposed to do.' The products are eco-friendly, cruelty-free and organic.
Some of the makeup lines carried at Credo that I love are RMS, W3ll People and Ilia. Sometimes with an all natural makeup you do not get the same pigment strength as traditional cosmetic brands but all the lines I have tried at Credo have beautiful texture and pigment. As far as skincare, some favorites are Kari Gran, Josh Rosebrook, and Indie Lee. And last but not least, some my favorite hair products they carry are Rahua, Captain Blankenship, and Acure. All of the skincare and haircare also contain totally clean ingredients. Credo's mission is to provide products that contain ingredients that are healthy for our bodies.
If you have not been I highly suggest checking it out! I have definitely spent some serious time and money there :)
I began my career in Los Angeles assisting famed make up artist Gucci Westman. Shortly after, I gained representation as a lead make-up artist/ hair stylist where I worked in print, advertising, music videos and commercials. My work has been featured in many magazines such as Glamour, Marie Claire, Lucky and Vanity Fair.
I have worked with several fashion brands including Max Studio, Ralph Lauren, Alice and Olivia and Rebecca Minkoff. My make-up kit is 100% cruelty-free and the majority is eco-conscious. I am obsessed with skincare and I am always on the search for high performance and clean beauty products. Currently, I am represented by Next Management New York.
