Some Of The Best Natural Body Care

Taking care of your skin shouldn’t ever stop at your chin – although I of all people know that’s tempting. And if you’re aiming for a more natural regimen, there are a ton of products out there for your perusal. Here is an edit of some of the very best.

Firstly, are y’all dry brushing? I know it sounds like a pain, but it’s genuinely one of the best things you can do for your skin. And it’s weirdly addictive – at first you might think it’s uncomfortable. But after a few goes you’ll start to notice how … tingly you feel afterwards, and when you skip it you’ll see how dull your skin looks. A great option from a great brand is the Aromatherapy Associates Dry Brush.

If you want in-shower exfoliation, you can easily sub out harsh chemicals for a more natural experience. Two of my favourites are the Tropic Body Smooth and the Evolve Beauty Tropical Blossom Body Polish. They’re quite similar except for in scent – Tropic’s is more citrusy, while Evolve has a more sensual, spa vibe. Both leave skin luxuriously smooth and sheeny.

In shower, I adore the Antipodes Namaste Hand & Body Wash. It’s a liquidy formula, but suds up perfectly and never eaves skin feeling stripped or (*shudders*) squeaky. It has a fresh scent, reminiscent of iced tea. If you’re more of a sensitive soul, I point you in the direction of Lush’s Oaty Creamy Dreamy. Designed to soothe even the most inflamed skins, it’s also thick and moisturising and delightful.

To add an extra step of pampering post-cleanse, you can boost your skins hydration and thus its elasticity, suppleness and glow. There are two broad categories for this: a cream or an oil. Lush does a brilliant cream called Sleepy, which has genuinely one of my favourite smells in existence -like lavender cupcakes. I apply this before bed and roll around the get the scent all over my sheets.

If oil is your bag, Infinatura Cura Oil is magnificent. Not only does it hydrate, but it’s clinically proven to help out with all manner of skin concerns, from psoriasis to acne. And if you get addicted to the scent, the brand has a corresponding candle, too.
