Where are you based?
Hi! I’m currently based in Los Angeles, California, but I’m trying to make the move to New York, so hopefully, I’ll be bicoastal soon!

What inspired you to start pursuing a career in the entertainment industry?
I’ve always been a creative person. I loved watching TV shows and movies with my parents growing up. The actors and filmmakers I saw and admired inspired me from a young age, and I knew I wanted to be just like them. The second I stepped foot in my first acting class was the moment I knew this was for me. It’s my passion and my calling.

Congratulations on your new show Chasing Cupid! You’re not just an actress on the show — you’re also a co-creator and writer. Can you tell us a little about it and what inspired you to create the show?
Thank you so much! It’s such an exciting project, and I’m thrilled with how it’s come to life. My best friend Lauren Davidi (co-creator and director) and I have always talked about working on a project together. One day, while sitting in a coffee shop, we came up with the idea to make a web series based on our lives. We’ve experienced it all firsthand; the humor, the characters, the drama later on in the series, and the dates. While it’s not exactly the same, we definitely pulled from experiences we’ve been through.

What are some things viewers can expect to see explored throughout the show? What do you hope viewers take away from it?
Viewers can expect to find a character they relate to in each episode. The characters are unique, but everyone will be able to connect with at least one. The show explores friendship, dating, drama, and heartbreak in the digital age. My hope is that viewers are reminded that love doesn’t have to be so serious. At the end of the day, it can be fun and enjoyable. There’s no time limit on finding your person.

How is your approach to acting different when doing a show you created versus someone else’s creation?
I would say my approach is different because I’m fully in control of how I want my lines to be portrayed. I know how we wrote the characters and what we expect from them. When acting in someone else’s creation, you can still add your own twist, which they often encourage, but there is usually a specific way the creators envision the character’s behavior.

It is said that some scenes in Chasing Cupid were inspired by real-life experiences you've had in the dating scene. How has creating this show helped you reflect on and learn from past experiences?
Chasing Cupid has reminded me not to take things too seriously. I’m 25, and sometimes I feel pressure to find true love. I see my friends and others in relationships, and it can make me sad. But at the end of the day, dating is supposed to be fun. There’s no time limit on finding “your person,” and the most important thing is to be myself. Others are drawn to that.

What kind of reactions do you hope viewers have to the show?
I hope viewers find the show funny and relatable. You know that feeling when you watch a show and can’t wait for the next episode? I want Chasing Cupid to make viewers feel that excited and eager.

Dating these days can be very challenging. Any dating advice?
Just be yourself. People are drawn to those who are confident in who they are. Don’t try to be someone you’re not. Honestly, I need to take my own advice!

You have volunteered for United in Harmony, an organization that helps underprivileged children gain opportunities to learn and grow. Can you tell us more about this organization and how you were involved?
Yes! I love United in Harmony. It’s such a great organization, and I’m so inspired by the work they do. When I was in high school, I was a leader in one of their youth groups. We took the kids to activities every month, like bowling or the park. It was so fun and always brought a smile to my face seeing how happy and grateful the kids were. It truly changed my perspective on life and reminded me how much I have to be grateful for. I also was a camp counselor at their week-long summer camp, which was amazing. I grew up going to sleep-away camp myself, so being a counselor for these children brought me so much joy.

As someone who has experience pursuing many creative disciplines professionally, what advice do you have for young girls looking to break into the entertainment industry?
Don’t give up. That’s the most important thing. If you’ve found a passion in entertainment and feel a calling for it, there’s a reason. Dive deep into that calling and put your all into it.

What are some changes you hope to see for the future of the entertainment industry?
I hope to see more breakthrough actors get chances to be on screen. There are so many talented actors out there who aren’t getting recognized by casting directors, and they deserve as much of a chance as the more established actors. I also hope to see more projects created by people in my generation. We have so much to talk about and so much to give.

Are there any upcoming projects you are currently working on that we should be on the lookout for?
Right now, Chasing Cupid! Stay tuned!

It has been a rough few years, and we expect at least four more. How have you been staying positive?
It’s definitely been rough. Spending time with my family and friends is my number one way of staying positive. I also journal, go to the park or the beach, explore new coffee shops, and go to therapy. It’s the little things in life.

What is your motto in life?
Stay positive and remember there is always light at the end of the tunnel. And be yourself, don’t change for anyone!
