Where are you based?
Beverly Hills, CA

So, which came first? Your interest in real estate or technology? What made you decide to merge these?
If someone told me I would end up in the tech industry, I wouldn't believe it. I was extremely interested in having a career in Real Estate, but once the idea of creating a marketing solution came about, I realized what is lacking in the market, a solution that can save time — only possible with technology.

I never thought I'd end up in tech. I was really interested in Real Estate, and thought that it would be my career choice. However, once I realized how inefficient the industry is, I knew there was a gap in the market for a solution to help people save time.

Tell us about Zentap?
Zentap is an all-in-one marketing solution that automates branded digital content, lead generation, and brand awareness. Our software and marketing expertise enables real estate professionals to save time and money, allowing them to stand out in today's competitive landscape and focus on what they do best.

How did your internship with entrepreneur David Duel kickstart your career? What events lead up to the training? Any exciting stories?
I was a law school dropout before I started Zentap. I had no idea what direction I should take in my career. I was intrigued by the real estate field, but it wasn't until I interned for David Duel and learned about the business that my interest in real estate grew exponentially. I saw an opportunity to help start Zentap and took it. The most exciting part of this journey for me was being able to make enough sales to leave my garage and rent an office. It was a huge milestone for our business because it made everything feel real and gave me a lot of hope. Eventually, we were able to hire engineers to build the software that our customers use, which has been huge. Prior to that, we were spending a lot of time manually doing a lot of the work ourselves.

What advice or tips would you give to someone starting in real estate? Please give us the 411.
Patience is the most important factor in succeeding in real estate. Real estate is a challenging business, but it's also one of the most rewarding. It takes hard work and perseverance to get to the top, but there are many rewards for those who put in the time. To make it to the top, you need to start at the bottom — literally! But hard work with patience pays off, and in the end, all your efforts will be worth it.

What has been your proudest accomplishment yet with Zentap? Any notable moments recently
I'm most proud of getting our company's first sale. It was my first time selling, and I was very nervous. But, it was the validation we needed to continue investing in our product and scaling our business.

Do you feel there is enough female representation?
Being a Middle Eastern woman in tech was not as challenging as I expected it to be. However, I do feel like there is not enough women representation in tech. I would love to see more women join the industry, especially more women being promoted to higher positions.

Do you have any advice to give women going into tech?
Don't be afraid to speak your mind. Your ideas can take your company to the next level, and no one knows that better than you! Your experience can provide valuable insight into how to create new solutions for old problems. The best part is that you'll learn a lot from mistakes. Errors help you improve your system, so don't be afraid to make them!

Do you have any advice to give people wanting to start a new tech start up?
Advice: Don't take the money out of your business. Instead, reinvest in it. By investing in your business and not taking funds right away, you have the opportunity to perfect your business model. You can do this by building a strong foundation and creating a track record of success. You should only take funds when you need them and have no other choice.

In addition to being a savvy businesswoman, we love that you work with the Jewish Community Center of Beverly Hills. What inspired you to get involved with this organization and can you tell us a bit about their work?
The JEM center has been in the community since I was a child. The JEM center is a non-profit organization that helps children and adults develop their creative talents through various programs. They also provide opportunities for underprivileged children. I wanted to give back to the center that gave me the opportunity to learn more about myself and my creativity.

Why are after school activities so important to the youth? Do you plan to incorporate your technical and real estate background into the lessons you teach at the JEM Community Center in Beverly Hills?
After-school programs are extremely important for the youth. These programs give kids the opportunity to experiment with various activities while they gain hands-on experience in areas such as sports, music, and technology. It gives them the chance to learn their strengths and work on their weaknesses, and flourish in areas where they are passionate. Creativity is the key to learning. Early on, children can tap into their creativity, which is why it is so important. I hope to share my story and experiences with the children interested in tech or real estate one day. We can all learn from one another's journey!

Was COVID an obstacle for Zentap? How did you push through? Is everything back to normal for you?
COVID was a challenge for Zentap, but we have an outstanding team that did everything they could to make things as normal as possible. Not everything is normal yet, but our team has done a great job of getting us back on track. I'm proud of the way each person stepped up and took COVID on as a challenge.

What is a personal or professional goal that you would like to achieve?
My professional goal is to grow our customer base so that we can continue to help more real estate professionals grow their businesses.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I hope to see myself practicing real estate. I know that Zentaps solutions can help me to brand myself as a leader in the industry.

What is your life motto?
My motto is to "just do it." Sometimes it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking about what others think about you, especially when you're doing something that is outside of your comfort zone. It's important to remember that failure is a part of success, and if you never try — you'll never be able to succeed. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to take a leap of faith. If you don't try, you'll never know what could have happened. I was stuck in an unhappy place and found myself always second-guessing my decisions. I realized that I needed to stop thinking about the worst-case scenario and give things a shot. My life changed after that — I began living for myself rather than for others and saw results from taking risks.
