Where are you based?
I live in Houston, TX, but most of the professional work that I have done has been in New York. I love NY; so, I consider it as my second hometown.

How did you develop an interest in acting? Has acting always been something you were interested in?
When I was younger, I always loved to pretend to be somebody else, then my kindergarten teacher encouraged me to try acting, and I got motivated to do so.

Apple TV+ released the sci-fi drama series, Invasion, on October 22nd. In the series you make your debut as Sarah Malik. How excited are you about starring in this role?
Very excited and proud of myself, because all the hard work I did, now paid off.

How do you prepare for your role as Sarah? Can you tell us a little bit about her?
Sarah is the youngest member of Malik family. She’s curious, intuitive, and very smart. I used to think, what would I do if these incidents would have happened in real life, for me to understand Sarah’s situation and emotions better and to play it naturally in front of the camera.

What was it like being on set for Invasion? Do you have a favorite memory?
It was a truly great experience. I learned a lot working with professional cast-mates, crews, directors and producers. My favorite memory is when I worked with the stunt team in episode six (“Home Invasion”). It was very adventurous!

Before beginning your acting career, you worked in commercials and modeling. How did you transition into acting?
I’ve always wanted to get into acting. Shortly after signing with my agent I received my very first television audition, which was for Invasion.

What are some of your career goals? Where do you see yourself in five years?
My ultimate career goal is to play a superhero. In five years I will continue working on my craft to take it to the next level. I’d also like to explore other genres such as comedy.

At only the age of eight, you have accomplished so much on and off screen. What has been the most powerful advice you have received? What advice would you give to your peers and other young actors?
My dad usually tells me: If you want, you can. And I want to share this to others, as it would apply to anything. “If you want, you can”.

Who are some of your role models?
Hillary Clinton, Harriet Tubman, Mae C. Jemison, Beethoven, and Wilma Rudolph.

Jejune loves that you are committed to philanthropic work! How did you get involved with the Child Foundation?
I became familiar through my parents, as they were looking to select the best way to help people in need.

As a young person yourself, can you tell us a little bit more about your experience helping underprivileged children succeed?
Helping kids in need and supporting child education has a permanent effect and will stay with them for the rest of their life. I think it's the best way to break the cycle of poverty.

Why do you think it is important to give back even at a young age?
I believe everybody has the right to explore their talents and be successful in life. Unfortunately, not everyone has this opportunity, so we must do everything we can to help.

How have you been staying positive during shelter in place? Are you back to normal now?
I’ve been spending quality time with my parents, work out at home, play games, watch movies, and hoping for better days. I’m mostly back to normal, but not 100% with some of my activities I used to do in pre-covid era.

What is your motto in life?
“Dream big, try your best, YOU can do it!”
