Vertical Show Returns To San Francisco For Three Weeks of Magic At The Great Star Theatre

Do you live in the San Francisco area? If so, I have wonderful news for you!! The Vertical Show is returning to the Great Star Theatre in Chinatown San Francisco from April 4-21st. There will be shows every Thursday-Sunday for three weekends. You can buy your tickets here (promo code: kira).

Why is this show significant you may ask? Because it truly is a one of a kind show. This is a pole dancing show, but nothing like you would expect to see. This is one you would take your grandmother and kids to, and you should! In fact, the Sunday show is a matinee so that the family can all come together! It is reinventing how the world can see the beauty, art, and athleticism of pole dancing.

Follow us down the red ribbon as we traverse the mystical waters of the Vertical Show. We open on a visually stunning group ensemble of what looks like blue butterflies as our dancers sweep across the stage and pile themselves together all on a single pole creating beautiful shapes and mystery.

Singer Aria Saha laces the aerial pieces together, along with a red ribbon, and helps tell the story of the Vertical Show as she aids us in our transitions.

While this is in the heart a pole dancing show, there are many forms of aerial mixed in – from flying pole to hoop to hair hanging!

The ever so talented producer and artist Pink Puma has a way of weaving magic into everything she does and the Vertical Show is no exception. You can see her touch in every piece and watching her perform with the cast is nothing short of a pleasure. With a background in rhythmic gymnastics and being a world champion pole dancer, Pink Puma flawlessly dances across the stage no matter the apparatus she chooses to tango with.

But Pink Puma is joined with a cast of seven other incredibly talented artists, many of them award winning (nationally and internationally). They have their powerful singer Aria Saha. The very talented award winning pole dancer, aerial pole dancer, and hair hanger Nia Millan. Paige Olson, Alex Ilkevich, and Kira Bucca are world champion pole dancers. Alex is also a world champion in hoop, and incredibly flexible. Paige will wow you with her flawless moves and musicality. Kira is known for being a trickster and loves to fly around the pole. The cast is also lucky enough to have two local (also award winning) artists, Sherman Yu and Ellena Mirra. These two are the glue that polishes off the show! Sherman as the singular male has to do all the heavy lifting and performs beautifully on the pole and the aerial pole. Ellena is like a magical fairy that is in every piece and spreads her joy in all her movements.

This small but powerful cast will have you cheering throughout the entire show and wanting for more at the end. Don’t worry! The show goes for three weeks, and knowing this group, they might surprise you with new acts as the show processes. You won't want to miss the Vertical Show and you might want to come back every week!
