Where are you based?
Atlanta, GA, USA.

What inspired you to pursue acting?
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved being on stage. There was never a time when I wasn’t putting together costumes and singing or dancing for my family at home. I think getting into acting was just something that happened naturally for me over time.

Congratulations on your role in the new “Five Nights At Freddy’s 2”! What can viewers who haven’t seen the movie yet expect to see from your character?
Charlotte shows a huge range of emotion in a very short amount of time—everything from loneliness and panic to fear, pain, and rage. She is a girl with a big heart who is going through a lot.

What was your favorite moment on set while filming for this movie?
That is such a hard one to pick! I think I’d have to say doing stunts for the scene where the marionette is holding me while rising out of the trap door. I got to meet so many talented people on that set and I learned a lot!

You started out doing local theater and then moved over to commercials, TV, and film. How does live acting for an audience differ from acting for a camera?
I basically grew up doing theater and I’ve always loved being on stage. I started exploring film and TV classes around age eight, and I discovered I really love how "grounded" screen acting can be. In theater, you have to use big, exaggerated expressions and gestures so the audience can see you, which is fun. But with film and TV, you can be more thoughtful about the little things. A close-up shot with small movements and facial expressions can shift the whole mood of a scene, and I love that.

How does your approach to acting change from theater to commercial to film?
With theater, there’s choreography to master and you have to be big and bold. You’re usually playing a character that has been done many times before, so people already have an idea of what to expect. In film, you have a script, but you have to develop the character and really make them your own. You have to give them a backstory and create "before and after" moments to bring them to life in your own unique way. Commercials move so fast that there isn’t much character development; a lot of times it’s just a specific look or expression they need.

You’re also in Amazon Prime’s new romantic comedy “Merv.” Can you tell us a bit about what we can expect to see from your character in this film?
Shauna is one of Russ Owen’s students in class. She’s a bit of a know-it-all and likes to be part of the discussion! She doesn’t get a ton of screen time, but she was so fun to play, and working with Charlie Cox was amazing.

“Five Nights At Freddy’s 2” and “Merv” are completely different genres. Do you have a favorite genre to act for?
I really like being able to try out different characters in different genres! It’s hard to pick a favorite because I truly love being on set, and I haven't gotten to try everything I want to do yet. But I have to admit, I love playing a serious character with a lot of emotional depth. Five Nights at Freddy’s was my first horror film, and I would absolutely love to do more!

You regularly volunteer with Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. How did you get involved with this organization and can you tell us a bit about what you do with them?
I love helping them out as much as I can! One of my best friends' mom is the Development and Events Director for Angels Among Us, so once I met her, she started inviting me to volunteer at local events around Atlanta. What I do depends on the event—I’ve helped pass out awards after a 5K, checked people in, walked dogs who need homes, and even helped make "paw print" paintings.

Why is volunteering with Angels Among Us Pet Rescue important to you?
My family has always rescued dogs! My grandma and grandpa actually had nine at one time, and at my house, we’ve always had three or four. Volunteering at a pet rescue felt like a perfect fit because I grew up wanting to help every animal I could.

What advice do you have for young girls like you looking to pursue acting?
My advice would be to join an improv or theater class (or even a class on Zoom) to see if you actually enjoy it. Learn how to do a self-tape, get some good headshots, and build your resume on sites like Actors Access or Backstage where you can submit yourself for smaller jobs. Ultimately, try to get an agent, because the best opportunities come from them. The biggest thing is to not give up! There is a lot of rejection in this business, but you have to treat every audition as a "win" even if you don't get a callback. Just remember that what is meant to be yours will find you.

Are there any upcoming projects you are currently working on that we should be on the lookout for?
I started a podcast with my friend Luke Speakman (from the movie Weapons) called Real Kids Reel Talk, where we interview other child actors. That’s been a lot of fun! I also booked my first two conventions for 2026, so I’ll be traveling to meet fans there. I also have a short film called 88.6 that will be hitting festivals in 2026. I’m hoping for even more film opportunities next year, too!

It has been a crazy few years, and we expect at least three more. How have you been staying positive?
I’m just getting started and I’ve already been able to do some really cool things! I have a tight circle of people around me who love, encourage, and help me reach my dreams. What could be more positive than that?

What is your motto in life?
My favorite is: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken!”
