Christina Kwauk: Girls Hold the Answer to the Future of Climate Change

Christina Kwauk (she/her) has been on a lifelong journey of unfolding discovery. Beginning her work in education, her research led her to focus on the education of girls across the world as an area of expertise. While working at the Brookings Institution, a colleague asked her if there was any link between girls’ education and climate change. This question sparked a new course of study for Christina: how investing in girls’ education will aid the fight in climate change. Read on to learn more about Christina Kwauk!

Today we are continuing our off-year elections profiles of progressive candidates! This week’s candidate is Heidi Drauschak (she/her), a millennial entrepreneur and brand new mother. During the middle of the campaign only a few weeks ago, Heidi delivered her son Atlas Wolf, 8 lb. 12 oz. on April 26, 2023. As such, most of her campaigning has been done during the late stages of her pregnancy. An alumnus of the Obama White House, Heidi is passionate about campaign finance reform, workers’ rights, gun safety, environmental issues, criminal justice reform and women’s reproductive rights.

Playing the role of Michelle, an empowered young feminist, Natasha gives us all the details about this new woman-led sex comedy and her future within the genre. Alongside her Hollywood career, Natasha is passionate about supporting a variety of causes close to her heart, including body positivity, the Black Lives Matter movement, and immigrant and refugee rights, and frequently volunteers with South LA Cafe to help her local community.
