Despite being a multi-Award Winning screenwriter, this artist continues seeking creative challenges to become the best version of herself. The artist is Lara Mamoun! Aside from her directed film — My World — screened at Plaza Theater recently, the driven Atlanta screenwriter is simultaneously working with Netflix, directing her first feature film and assistant directing a dramatic all-Black production. Above and beyond, she expanded her horizons and dove into the Comedy and Music world, where she is a cast member of a live-sketch comedy show and is currently on the move to launch her first EP — Purple Skies. We were excited to speak with Beverley and get her perspective of costume design in relation to representation. Beverly’s main focus is using her her platform to tell her story about needing to have more women of color in entertainment in front of and behind the camera. In all of her career as a costume designer she has always been one of very few minorities in "the room" making decisions, which is where the real power of Hollywood is. Until there are more people of different cultural backgrounds holding power there will always be an uneven balance in the industry, and that is what Beverley is fighting to change. Shiloh Verrico: Actress, Singer, and Animal Lover

At just ten years old, Shiloh Verrico is making herself known as an actress, singer, and advocate for rescue animals. Shiloh is making her Netflix debut in the new series “Country Comfort.” The series follows ‘Bailey,’ an aspiring country singer who gets a job nannying five musically-inclined children who lost their mother two years prior. Shiloh’s character is the emotional center of the family, ‘Cassidy,’ who is having an especially difficult time coming to terms with the loss of her mother. Shiloh loves music and was able to use her talents singing and playing guitar and ukulele in the series. When Shiloh isn’t filming or singing, she and her family foster rescue dogs and work with rescue organizations.
