Where are you based?
Based in Long Island, New York .

What inspired you to start Momentous Fashion?
It triggered something in me when I was told to wear a particular outfit that I was not in favor of, I refused to wear the outfit. I lost the opportunity to walk for a designer while in Miami fashion week. I’m an unashamed christian woman I am very involved in my church and refuse to walking down the runway half naked. that’s when I decided that I want to take the steps to learn everything from scratch to start my own brand so I can wear what I want to wear. Then I started taking sewing lessons to learn the basics from making my own custom pieces to then attending fashion school.

What words best describe Momentous Fashion's style? What serves as the source of inspiration for your designs?
Best describe Momentous Fashion — luxurious fashionable comfort, unique. My source of inspiration is royalty to be, and to look regal.

What has been your greatest obstacle as CEO of Momentous Fashion?
The greatest obstacle as a CEO for Momentous Fashion was building all of it on my own, while still having doubts and trying to figure out how ends were going to met. When I wanted to throw in the towel, but  I kept pushing because I knew there was a deeper passion for what I love .

What aspect of your job most excites you?
What excites me about my job is creating a garment that allows women to walk different, look different, and feel different.

What has been your brand's most notable accomplishment?
My most noticeable accomplishment is when I had the opportunity to put together my first fashion show with my team.

We noticed that you are an official MTV Mental Health Action Partner. Can you describe your role as a partner? What motivated you to become a partner?
My role with MTV mental health action partner allowed Momentous Fashion to be a part of a community to support mental health awareness for all. We can sponsor or promote as a partner. What motivated me to become a partner is because I was a mental health counselor for several years. I know, friends and family that suffered from this illness. I also face difficulties, in my own personal life as well.

Your demonstrated interest in promoting education regarding mental illness and drug abuse therapy is uplifting. How have you managed to combine your interest in fashion with your efforts to raise awareness about these issues?
I believe when you are graced with passion for the people, God allows things to seem effortless. Even though you’re facing the same issues, knowing that we the people have the power to change our lives with victory over hardships.

Why is it crucial to address these problems?
Its critical because majority of our people are facing mental health illness, and by promoting awareness it allows the people to know there is help. Never be ashamed because your story can change someone else’s life.

What are your hopes for the future of the fashion industry? What steps do you think the industry should take to accomplish those goals?
My hope for the future for the fashion industry is to help to bring more awareness for mental health with these issues people are facing. Continue to push the vision because I believe the steps have already been handed to us so continue to be a voice for others that don’t have a voice.

Are there any non-profits you are currently working with or would like to promote?
Yes, I am working with Big Vision, Reality House New York. I am also working on a nonprofit as well, which is called Hope 4 Thee Future.

What advice would you give aspiring designers?
Keep fighting for your dreams, and never ever give up! It doesn’t matter what it looks like, push through the fire!

What advice do you have for anyone struggling with mental health?
My advice for someone that is struggling with mental health would be seek help even if your help is seeking a therapist or medication. It’s okay because we all have to start from somewhere to get to where we want to be. It’s a process and a journey.

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects you would like to share?
Upcoming project I am looking to launch — my nonprofit and partnership, with my sponsors on an event to give back to the community.

It has been a crazy past few years. How have you been staying positive?
